- Be a part of a dedicated group of people who are supporting students with special needs in all settings.
- Make better-informed decisions about effective practices in their work
- Support, encourage and learn from each other by sharing our stories, experiences, and ideas (not advice)
- Get answers to questions we cannot get anywhere else (e.g., you can’t Google it) – however, this is not legal advice.
- Avoid isolation that comes from working in a specialized field.
- Connect pre-service educators with each other and with professionals in the field through exposure to in-service teachers, and preparing them for entering the field of special education
